Image result for nepali businessLocated between two of the fastest growing economies of the world, India and China, Nepal has tremendous economic potential. Its geographical location, coupled with rich natural resources and a population of more than 26 million, makes Nepal an ideal country for doing business.  A recipient of funding from multi-lateral development banks as well as a destination of foreign direct investment, the Government of Nepal is focused on upgrading its infrastructure – one of many opportunities for U.S. companies.  The Country Commercial Guide for US Companies (PDF 855KB) highlights aspects of doing business in Nepal and provides comprehensive and useful guidelines to interested companies.

The Business Information Database System (BIDS) gives U.S. businesses up to date information about significant foreign government and multilateral development bank procurements. Through an interactive map interface, businesses can find new export opportunities, validated by U.S. government economic and commercial experts overseas. Public and private partners can link to or download BIDS data for matchmaking, analysis, or other purposes.
